I recently finished reading “1222” by Anne Holt, the eighth installment in the Hanne Wilhelmsen series. This gripping mystery novel follows retired police officer Hanne Wilhelmsen as she finds herself trapped in a snowstorm at a remote mountain hotel with a group of strangers.

As tensions rise and the storm rages on outside, a murder occurs within the hotel, and Hanne is forced to use her investigative skills to solve the crime before the killer strikes again. The suspenseful plot kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end, and I couldn’t put the book down.

Anne Holt’s writing is masterful, with vivid descriptions that make you feel like you are right there with the characters in the snow-covered mountains. The character development is also excellent, with Hanne Wilhelmsen being a strong and complex protagonist that you can’t help but root for.
