$1M Powerball winner sold in Michigan for drawing on 12/23/24
LANSING, MI — The holiday season just got a whole lot greener for a Powerball player in Michigan as they won a $1 million prize in the drawing held on Monday, Dec. 23. The winner matched all five white numbers drawn — 22-42-44-57-64 — to win the $1 million prize.
The winning ticket was sold at the Shell gas station, located at 3839 S Lapeer Rd, in Metamora. Metamora is roughly 25 miles southeast of Flint.
The winner now has one year from the drawing date to come forward to claim their prize. The winner is asked to contact the Michigan Lottery’s Player Relations division at 1-844-917-6325 to schedule an appointment to claim their winnings.

The last players from Michigan to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot is the Breakfast Club lottery club which claimed a $842 million jackpot in June 2024. The members plan to use the money to buy a home in Florida and travel.
And while they were lucky winners, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately as a Mega Millions winner worth $1 million sold in Southfield in 2023 went unclaimed. The money instead went to the state’s School Aid Fund.
