I've been wanting one of these for a long time but they're prohibitively expensive, so of course I snagged this at a good deal. We got my MIL one of the fancy brands of smart frames a couple years ago and that one doesn't display weather, doesn't have such a user friendly app or upload experience, or do touch screen, and it's over double the price.
The set up was super easy, out the box I plugged it in and got my account set up, the app downloaded, and the frame downloading batches of photos within 20 minutes. The one thing that really bugged me about the app is that you can only upload from your photo library, and while you CAN upload from your shared albums, you can only send 50 at a time to the frame. That and, after you send a batch and go back to the album you want to pull from, it reverts the name to the library so you could easily mess up your process and need to go searching for the album again and find where you left off. I haven't done the email upload or anything so can't speak to that, I need to keep investigating these options, but it comes with two guides so seems easy to get the hang of.
The options on the frame itself are easy and customizable. I was able to set my location to see weather predictions, I can go specifically look at videos, I can see specific upload batches as folders, I can manage photos and choose favorites, and I can share a QR code to invite others to share to my album as well.
Overall, I'm still tinkering so I may update my review, but I'm happy with it so far and can't wait to keep adding to it. I haven't seen any issues with memory getting filled up but I may get a memory card anyway to not limit myself, since it already has easily 1,000 photos already!
