On the December 27 edition of SmackDown, GM Nick Aldis announced Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a Ladder Match at the Royal Rumble 2025 event.
With this bout as well as two Royal Rumble matches, there is plenty of matches that could possibly be added to the card for the February 1 event.
Here are six potential matches to be added to WWE Royal Rumble 2025.
Liv Morgan Vs. Becky Lynch
While not yet confirmed, it’s widely expected that Becky Lynch will return to WWE at the Raw on Netflix premiere on January 6.
The Man was spotted at WWE’s media event at Netflix HQ last month before then featuring in the most recent official Raw Netflix commercial, confirming she will be back in some capacity in WWE once again.
With Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan potentially putting their long-running feud to bed at the Raw on Netflix premiere, many fans are expecting that match to be where Lynch returns, potentially playing a crucial role in Ripley dethroning Morgan as Women’s World Champion.
If that happens, then before Lynch gets a shot at Ripley’s gold, she should first look to settle the score with her most recent WWE opponent Morgan, attempting to get some revenge following the pair’s feud in the Spring of last year.

As we gear up for WWE Royal Rumble 2025, fans are eagerly anticipating the matches that will be added to the already stacked card. Here are six matches that we believe should be added to make this event even more epic:
