A colder, clear and breezy start to 2025

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The start of the New Year brings a new pattern of cold air.

Winter returns after a cold front moves through the evening.

It will be chilly and breezy for midnight with most of the area in the 40s.

Our high for New Year’s Day will only be in the upper 50s.

The colder air remains through the week with chilly mornings Wednesday and Thursday in the 30s for some with patchy frost possible.

We could see some rain on Thursday leading to a dreary feel.

Sunday is a bit warmer before a storm system moves through.

Much colder air is in store for the second week of January.

As we welcome in the new year of 2025, Mother Nature has decided to give us a colder, clear, and breezy start. The crisp chill in the air serves as a reminder that winter is truly here, with temperatures dropping and frost glistening on the ground.

The clear skies overhead allow the sun to shine brightly, casting a sparkling light on the world around us. The lack of clouds means that we can enjoy the beauty of the winter landscape in all its glory, from the snow-covered trees to the icy rivers.

And let’s not forget the gentle breeze that dances through the air, carrying with it the promise of a fresh start and new beginnings. It whispers of adventures to come, of opportunities waiting to be seized, and of dreams waiting to be fulfilled.

So as we step into this new year, let’s embrace the colder, clear, and breezy days ahead. Let’s bundle up in our warmest clothes, breathe in the crisp air, and let the wind carry us towards a bright and beautiful future. Cheers to 2025!
