In 2006, there was no "AI revolution." There was just IT — servers, networks, the unglamorous work of keeping businesses running. That was the starting point. It still is, in a lot of ways.

Zion Tech Group was founded that year in São Paulo, Brazil, by Kleber Garcia Alcatrão. The early years were built on the fundamentals: fixing what was broken, building what was needed, and earning the next engagement by delivering on the last one. No venture capital, no buzzword strategy — just a small team doing IT work that mattered to the people paying for it.

Twenty-six years later, the work has changed. The fundamentals haven't.

From São Paulo to Middletown, Delaware

The move from Brazil to the United States wasn't a rebrand. It was the natural result of a company that had been working across borders for years and needed a home base that matched the client base.

Today, Zion operates from Middletown, Delaware. The team is 33 people. We work with clients in 19 countries. Annual revenue crossed $5.3 million — not by chasing growth for its own sake, but by doing enough good work for enough long-term clients that the growth followed.

Kleber still runs the company. He's still the person who gets on the call for Discovery. That's not a marketing choice — it's just how the company is built. The founder is still in the room when a new client walks in.

The YouTube Archive Nobody Talks About

Before any of this was trendy, we were publishing.

Between 2009 and 2019, Zion produced 11 videos on the company's YouTube channel. They covered IT operations, automation thinking, and the early signs of where the technology was heading. Total views: 5,888.

That number looks small next to the influencer economy. It's not meant to look big. It's meant to show trajectory. Long before "AI agent" was a searchable term, Zion was talking about machines doing work that used to require humans — and publishing that thinking in public, on a schedule, for a decade.

The channel isn't active anymore. The content is still there. The habit of saying what we think, in public, before it's fashionable, hasn't changed.

What Changed: IT Becomes AI

For most of our history, the work was infrastructure. Servers, networks, systems that had to stay up. That work still exists — a lot of our clients still need it — but the center of gravity has moved.

The shift happened gradually, then all at once. First we were automating individual tasks inside IT operations. Then we were connecting tools so data flowed without manual handoffs. Then the tools got smarter — not magic, just better — and the scope of what could be automated expanded. What used to require a custom integration and a dedicated maintenance burden started looking like something you could assemble from composable parts.

That's where Composio entered the picture. We built 31 toolkits on the Composio platform — pre-built connectors and automation patterns that let us stand up AI-powered workflows without reinventing the integration layer every time. Each toolkit represents a repeatable pattern we've used and refined across multiple clients. They're not theoretical. They're what we use.

The point of the toolkits isn't that they exist. It's that we can show up, pick a process, and have a credible starting point within days instead of weeks. That's the same value proposition IT services has always promised — just applied to a different layer of the stack.

The Stack We Actually Run On

Transparency matters. Here's what our own operation looks like:

  • **GitHub Pages** hosts the public site. Static, fast, no unnecessary moving parts.
  • **Stripe** handles payments. Discovery, Consulting, Starter, and Growth tiers all have live checkout links. No "contact us for pricing" — the prices are published.
  • **Calendly** runs scheduling for Discovery calls. One event type, live, no back-and-forth.
  • **WhatsApp** and a **Telegram bot** handle conversation at the channel level — because a lot of our clients, especially in LATAM, prefer to talk where they already work.
  • **MCP marketplace** at [zionmcp.com](https://zionmcp.com) — Model Context Protocol tools and connectors that extend what AI agents can reach into. This is where the Composio toolkits live alongside newer patterns we're building as the ecosystem evolves.
  • None of this is exotic. That's the point. We're not selling a platform. We're selling a team that knows how to connect the tools you already have, add the ones that make sense, and make the whole thing produce measurable results.

    What 26 Years Buys You

Experience is an overused word. Let's be specific about what two decades+ of IT work actually changes:

You recognize patterns faster. The same underlying problems — broken handoffs, invisible manual work, tools that don't talk to each other — show up in different clothes at different clients. After enough engagements, you stop needing a long discovery to know where the friction lives.

You've seen hype cycles come and go. AI is not the first wave that promised to transform everything. We were around for the automation wave, the cloud wave, the IoT wave. Some of it delivered. Some of it didn't. The skill is knowing which parts of the current wave are real for a specific client before they spend real money on it.

You've earned the right to say no. Not every problem needs AI. Not every client is a fit. After 26 years, you get to be selective — and that selectivity is itself a selling point, because it means the engagements you do take on are ones you actually believe in.

The team is the asset. Thirty-three people across 19 countries is not a number we put on a pitch deck for decoration. It's the reason we can take on work that needs coverage across time zones, languages, and domains. The people are real, the coverage is real, and the continuity is real — because the company has been profitable enough to keep them.

    Who We Are Now

Zion Tech Group is an IT and AI services company. We work with mid-market companies and scaling startups that have outgrown ad-hoc processes and need a partner who can map, build, and measure real improvements. We work across the Americas with a strong presence in both Brazil and the United States.

The business model is simple: start small with a paid Discovery, prove the value on one process, then scale the engagement only if the numbers justify it. Discovery is $99. No multi-month commitment. No slide deck in search of a problem.

We are not a large consultancy. We are not trying to be. The advantage of a focused, founder-led team is speed, accountability, and a direct line to the people doing the work. If you want a 60-slide strategy presentation, there are firms that will sell you one. If you want someone to map one process, show you the ROI, and build it, that's what we do.

    The Work Ahead

The next phase of the company is the same as the last one: find the work that matters, do it well, and let the reputation compound.

AI agents, MCP tooling, and the infrastructure to run them reliably are where the technology has taken us. The fundamentals are unchanged from 2006: understand the client's real problem, build something that works, measure the result, and earn the next engagement. Nothing about that loop has gotten easier. Nothing about it has become less valuable.

If you're evaluating a partner for AI, automation, or IT services and you want to know who's actually behind the company before you spend any money — this is that conversation.
