Another edition of the hotly contested Milan derby takes center stage at the San Siro as AC Milan will play host to their cross-town rivals Inter.

As is often the case, this match means more than just a heated rivalry in this edition. Inter trail Napoli by three points with a game in hand, and with a significantly better goal differential, they can take over the the lead in the title race with a win.

Milan, meanwhile, have slumped all the way down to eighth, as their issues this season have remained even as Sergio Conceicao took over for Paulo Fonseca at the helm. They lost to Juventus in league play two weeks prior, and fell to Dinamo Zagreb in the final league phase match of the Champions League midweek.

While Serie A clubs aren’t necessarily prone to scoring goals and hitting overs, these two clubs have been chaotic enough this year to do the job. Each of the last four Milan derbies have gone over the total, with a combined 17 goals between them.

The main goal scorers for both these clubs are healthy and in good form, and it’s the defensive unit that is struggling the most for Milan.

He’s also been a menace for AC Milan in the past, as you can imagine. He scored in the last meeting as Inter fell in the Supercoppa Italiana, and he has a goal contribution in three of the last four league games. With three of those four contributions being assists, Lautaro is due for himself to finish one off himself, as he’s not a volume chance creator for teammates.
