Are Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Engaged? Rumors, Explained.

I can maybe, kinda, sorta hear the bells. In two separate Instagram posts this week — including one from Christmas Day — Dua Lipa can be seen with a rather large rock on her ring finger. While we don’t have an official confirmation from the singer or her boyfriend, Callum Turner, fans were quick to sound engagement alarms, commenting, “TRAINING SEASONS [sic] DEFINITELY OVER!” and “DUA DID U GET MARRIED.” Perhaps the 29-year-old’s latest album, Radical Optimism, wasn’t a smashing success commercially. But as a romantic rule of thumb? Radical optimism seems to be working out for Lipa just fine.

On Thursday, an anonymous source told The Sun that Turner proposed to Lipa on Christmas, adding that the couple “are so in love and know this is forever.” That individual also told the tabloid that the lovebirds were planning an all-out New Year’s Eve bash that would now double as an engagement party. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. As far as tabloid sourcing goes, the U.K.-based paper is notoriously unreliable, so I’m taking this all with a grain of salt until we’ve got a glaring hard-launch on our hands.

Lipa and Turner were first linked in January, when TMZ spotted the Masters of the Air actor slow dancing with the pop star at an Apple TV+ premiere party. Dating rumors were confirmed in July when the pair was spotted together at Glastonbury and, later, when Lipa debuted her 34-year-old boyfriend on main. Engaged or not, I remain happy for these two. She really does seem to be “levitating,” you know?
