Ariana Grande has spoken out following allegations of a toxic work environment for child actors, as revealed in the documentary ‘Quiet On Set’ about former Nickelodeon executive Dan Schneider.

The star of Wicked expressed her concern for those in the industry without adequate support and voiced her desire to contribute to positive change.

She stated: “I worry about those who don’t have that support and it’s something I hope we can be a part of positive part of that change together by talking about it.”

This week, Ariana received an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Glinda in the film adaptation of the popular musical Wicked.

Overwhelmed by the recognition, she took to social media to express her gratitude, writing: “Picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition. I cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise.”

She continued: “I’m humbled and deeply honoured to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny Ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered. I’m so proud of you, tiny. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for this acknowledgment @theacademy.

“Thank you @jonmchu for taking this chance on me and for being the most unbelievably brilliant leader, human being, and most fierce friend. I am so deeply proud of my beautiful Wicked family. I am so proud of my Elphie, my sister, my dear @cynthiaerivo.

“Your brilliance is never ending and you deserve every flower (tulip) in every garden. I love you unconditionally, always. I don’t quite have all my words yet, I’m still trying to breathe. but thank you. oh my goodness, thank you. Universal, Marc, my family, my heart. Lemons and melons and pears, oh my.”

Ariana Grande, the pop sensation known for her powerful vocals and chart-topping hits, recently spoke out about the need for better protection for child stars in the entertainment industry. In a candid interview, Grande shared her thoughts on the unique challenges faced by young performers in the spotlight.

“It’s a strange industry to grow up in,” Grande said. “There are so many pressures and expectations placed on young stars, and it can be overwhelming at times. I think we need to do more to support and protect these kids as they navigate their way through fame.”

Grande, who got her start in show business at a young age on Nickelodeon’s hit show “Victorious,” understands firsthand the pressures of being a child star. She has been vocal about the importance of mental health and self-care, and believes that young performers need access to resources and support to help them navigate the complexities of fame.

“I’ve been lucky to have a strong support system around me, but not everyone has that,” Grande said. “We need to do better as an industry to ensure that child stars have the protection and guidance they need to thrive and succeed in a healthy way.”

Grande’s comments come at a time when the entertainment industry is facing increased scrutiny over its treatment of young performers. With more and more former child stars speaking out about their struggles with mental health and addiction, there is a growing awareness of the need for better protections for young talent.

As one of the biggest stars in the world, Ariana Grande’s words carry weight, and her advocacy for child stars is sure to spark important conversations in the industry. Let’s hope that her message is heard and that meaningful change is made to ensure the well-being of all young performers.
