Arizona State star DB suspended for first half of Peach Bowl vs. Texas

Star defensive back Shamari Simmons was ejected for targeting in the Big 12 Championship game. As a result of the call and the call being upheld on review, Simmons will be sidelined for 30 minutes for his next game as part of the penalty. His next game is indeed the Peach Bowl.

Simmons has been key to Arizona State’s success in 2024, recording 69 total tackles, three pass breakups, an interception, and three forced fumbles.
