Well the offseason continues to crawl onward, with the pace of transactions of note slowing down dramatically league-wide of late, setting international free agency aside. There are still a good number of options available both on the free agent and trade markets. Perhaps with less market momentum, the values will be better and the Braves, a team that has a major focus on value, will be able to close some deals to improve their major league squad. I am very much in the camp of adding Ha-Seong Kim, as he provides the floor (assuming health) of a good defensive shortstop with passable offense and a ceiling of a legitimate star at the position. The value on his deal may be pretty good and the Braves are in a relatively strong position to withstand his absence to start the season, as his shoulder recovers.
