Saving wildlife is a job fit for a princess, and Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior is up for the task! The adorable 3-year-old wore a pink princess dress to help rescue a turtle in a new video, and she’s like a real-life Snow White.
Bindi’s brother Robert Irwin shared the sweet clip on Instagram this week, which happened before he flew to South Africa to film I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. “Cool little animal rescue, with the help of a turtle expert … Grace. Fun times before heading over to Africa. #FlashBack,” the reality show host and wildlife conservationist captioned a post.

In the video, he explains more about how this rescue came about. “So, I just finished doing a reptile tour here at Australia Zoo,” he says, explaining how he always opens up the room for questions at the end. Someone raised their hand and said, “I don’t have a question, but I just found this wandering around a footpath in the zoo.”
Robert instantly recognized it as “a wild turtle” who didn’t belong in the zoo. The tiny baby turtle is smaller than the palm of his hand and so adorable! “I’m now going to get this guy relocated and put him in a nice, safe spot,” Robert says. “I think this is a job for my niece.”
The niece is Grace, of course, who determinedly walks behind her uncle near a body of water. She looks adorable in a ballerina pink dress with fluffy pink tulle and matching pink sneakers, with a blue bucket hat on her head. She lifts the turtle from the container that Robert is using to transport him, then crouches down next to the creek to let the turtle crawl away. She did it like a little pro!
“Compassion for another living being is the greatest gift ,” Grace’s “Bunny” (Grandma Terri Irwin) commented on the video.
“I love seeing you all pass down that family legacy to little Grace. such a blessing,” a fan commented. Someone else wrote, “Cutest rescue now THIS is how you teach the future generations ”
Grace and her uncle Robert have such a sweet relationship, and we love seeing what they get up to together on social media. Like earlier this month, when Robert gave Grace a piggyback ride (and she gave him cute nose “boops.” She wore another pink princess dress with Minnie Mouse ears in these precious photos.
“The adventures of Uncle Robert and Grace (…AKA Minnie Mouse! )” he captioned the post.
In an interview with Access Hollywood in May, Robert gushed about his niece and shared how he and Bindi are keeping the memory of their dad, the late Steve Irwin, alive with her. “We’ll turn on a documentary of dad and it’s amazing how Grace gravitates towards that. She really does,” Robert said.
He added, “You know what’s the most meaningful thing ever, sometimes there’ll be really early footage of dad doing something cool, you know catching a croc or whatever, and she’ll go, ‘Oh look it’s Uncle Robert,’ and we’ll go, “No, no, no, no, that’s your grandpa. That’s the most meaningful thing.”
Grace is definitely surrounded by love, and she is already learning how to give love back to the creatures of this world!
