Simple and Effective

I installed this tiny Bluetooth device in our Fire TV (4-series) and paired it with a Soundcore (Anker) Q20 headset. It worked just fine from the very first time. The installation is extremely simple: Just plug it into an aux port, switch it on and choose either the TX or RX by the slide lever. In my case, I set it to TX and hit the pairing button on the headset, which in the case of the Q20 is the power button, and the pairing happened immediately. Just like that, and I was getting the TV audio into my headset.

I have not experienced any audio lag with this.

In terms of the range, with the above-mentioned hardware combo, it is good up to 13 feet (according to a laser measure), at which point the audio started breaking up and the device eventually disconnected.

With Bluetooth 5.3 the transmitter is very clear and fast. There was no lag with sounds or fuzziness. Bluetooth was very easy to pair and it is a USB C charger. This is really nice. It's as 'plug and play' as you can get. Even though I'll primarily use it as a receiver, I tested the transmitter part as well and both modes work really well!

This thing transmits and receives audio over a couple dozen feet and through walls without a problem. I've used this with my phone, computer, car, and various speakers through my house – it connected and worked great with all of them.

I'd give this adapter more of a 4.5 than a 5 though because two minor features didn't work for me at all. Long-pressing the volume keys didn't change songs regardless of what platform/program I used, nor did the power button pause my music (it just muted it instead) regardless of what platform/program I used. Again, minor things that I would never use anyway, but if you plan on using your receiver to manipulate your music for whatever reason, this might not be for you. Otherwise, this is really good for the price.

Cheap and easy, but no stereo outout in Tx mode

I used this to go with a portable cassette player that has no BT. This dual-use BT transmitter (meaning sending BT signal to headphones) receiver (meaning getting BT signal from say, iPhone) is cheap, small and easy to operate. But alas, it does not give me stereo sound! The effect was obvious from the get-go, and I contrasted the sound quality with wired EarBuds vs. Bluetooth AirPods connected via this device, and the sound quality was night and day.

So this is okay if you don't expect stereo sound (e.g., when watching a movie on a plane), but if you want to enjoy stereo music this is a no go.
