Brittany Zamora’s Husband Confronted by Father of Victim in Video

The father of the 13-year-old Arizona boy abused by his sixth-grade teacher recorded himself speaking over the phone with both the teacher and her husband, both of whom seemingly tried to encourage the victim’s family to settle the matter outside of court.

Brittany Zamora pleaded guilty in 2019 to sexually abusing the boy and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. But before her arrest, she and her husband reached out to the victim’s family in an apparent attempt to prevent her from getting in legal trouble.

Footage of the phone call was featured in an online documentary released in November. In it, the victim’s father angrily warned Zamora not to call him again and said that he would be going to authorities after discovering that his son had been sexually abused.

“What type of f—ing perverted person are you?” the father asks Zamora. “I want to know right now.”

After being told not to call the boy again, Zamora asks the father if they can meet to talk about the incident and if they can settle it “outside.”

Zamora then gives the phone to her husband, who tells the father that “God preaches forgiveness,” and says he understands why the father is “pissed,” adding that “as a husband, I am distraught.”

The angered father yells multiple expletives at Zamora’s husband and says “I am not going to settle outside of court” and says there is “not enough money” that he could be offered to settle the matter, though the husband does not appear to formally offer any money.

“Your woman is a monster,” the father says.

After Zamora was arrested, police released screenshots of her text exchanges with the victim.

“I want you too baby so bad,” she wrote in one exchange. “I want you every day with no time limit.”

Zamora abused the boy multiple times, including once in the back of her classroom while other students watched an educational video.

After she was sentenced to 20 years in prison for pleading guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, attempted molestation of a child and public sexual indecency, PEOPLE reported that Zamora has been working as a tutor for other inmates behind bars.

The Arizona Republic reported that Zamora filed for divorce from her husband, reportedly stating in court documents that their marriage was “beyond repair.”

The paper also reported that the victim’s family sued Zamora in 2019 and claimed that the husband knew about the illegal relationship and accused him of failing to report it. The suit was reportedly settled in 2019.
