BALTIMORE — Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was carted off the field early in the third quarter of Saturday’s game in Baltimore with a right leg injury. His leg was placed in an air cast.
He was ruled out with a knee injury.
The injury occurred on a second-down completion from Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson to tight end Isaiah Likely with 13:25 remaining in the quarter.
Hall immediately went down after appearing to get his legs caught up while rushing and grabbed at his right leg.
The Browns selected Hall, a Northeast Ohio native, with the 54th pick in the 2024 draft.
Hall missed the first five games of the season while on the Commisioner’s Exempt list and serving a suspension related to his arrest for domestic violence in August. He was convicted of disorderly conduct after pleading no contest in September.
He also missed four games this season with a knee injury, which occurred in practice leading up to the Browns’ game in New Orleans in Week 11.

The Cleveland Browns suffered a devastating blow in their Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens as rookie cornerback Greg Newsome II was carted off the field with a right leg injury.
Newsome, the team’s first-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, had been having a standout season for the Browns and was a key contributor in their secondary. His absence will be sorely felt as the team looks to make a push for the playoffs.
The severity of Newsome’s injury is still unknown, but losing a player of his caliber is a tough pill to swallow for the Browns. We can only hope for a speedy recovery for the talented rookie and that he can return to the field as soon as possible.
