He said that he’s officially retiring and that his playing career is over.”
Hyde, who joined the Bills in 2017 after starting his career with the Green Bay Packers, has been a cornerstone of Buffalo’s defense. Known for his versatility and ability to make big plays in clutch moments, he quickly became a fan favorite.
Hyde became a free agent after the 2023 season and initially left his future uncertain. Over his 7 seasons with the Bills, Hyde started 95 games, recording 417 tackles, 16 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2017 and 2021 and was a key part of the Bills’ playoff appearances and near-miss runs to the Super Bowl in recent years.
