Cardi B Wears Sequined Animal Print at the 2025 Grammys
Leave it to Cardi B to completely steal the show on the 2025 Grammys red carpet.
The rapper arrived to the event wearing a sequin-covered gown in what looked to be a mix between a zebra and a leopard print. The bronze-and-black dress had a blunging neckline and a skintight skirt covered in black and caramel-brown beads that morphed into a long train. The tail of the dress was adorned with a cascade of feathers in purple, orange, black, and white.
Cardi finished the look with silver layered hoop earrings, several diamond cocktail rings, and sparkly crystals on her face. But what really made the look? Her spiky purple-and-black claws.
Cardi never leaves anything to be desired when it comes to the Grammys, and she’s been pulling out all the stops since her first appearance back in 2018.
On that year, the “Up” singer wore a lacy white Mohammed Ashi dress that made her look like a pearly butterfly floating across the red carpet. And ever since, she’s always leaned into the wonderfully dramatic, be it with a spirally blue Gaurav Gupta gown, or a vintage Thierry Mugler design that gives serious Birth of Venus vibes.
This year, Cardi earned a nomination for her song “Enough (Miami)” in the category of Best Rap Performance. With this nod, she only furthered her reign as the female rapper with the most Grammy nominations of all time in that category.
Ahead of the ceremony, it was also announced that Cardi would be a presenter during the show, alongside other major names like SZA, Queen Latifah, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift.
Hopefully, come this time next year, we’ll be seeing even more nods for Cardi, given that her sophomore album is set to come out sometime this year. The record was originally teased for a 2023, then 2024 release, but Cardi said that there’s been a delay because she felt like “everything just has to be like perfect… because I feel like people are expecting so much.”
