  • ‘Phasmophobia’ Releases 2025 Roadmap, Including New Character Options and a Terrifying New Tool

Phasmophobia is one game that keeps giving back to its players. Not only is it one of the most terrifying horror games you can experience with your buddies, but it just keeps getting better. Alongside its successful release on consoles, Kinetic Games has pushed out an updated 2025 roadmap for Phasmophobia, detailing plenty of new changes coming to the game to keep things feeling fresh. Don’t worry, more holiday events are coming down the line, but I think I’m most excited about the Player Character refresh.

Alongside Plenty of Updates, ‘Phasmophobia’ Also Hits an Impressive Sales Number on Consoles

Phasmophobia is about to become a lot spookier, according to a recent press release from Kinetic Games. Chronicle is the main seller this time around, and it’s going to completely change how players take note of the ghosts within these homes. From the press release:

    Videos by VICE

“The first major update coming to the definitive horror game is Chronicle. This will bring changes to the journal and rework how Ghost Hunters can capture evidence. The Photos tab will be replaced with a Media tab featuring three new sections. Photos, Videos, and Sound Recordings. With any photographic, audio, or visual evidence logged in the corresponding pages.”

“The game’s media quality system is being replaced too. With a player’s first ‘capture’ of any media type labeled as ‘Unique’. These will reward lots of cash and XP at the end of a contract, while ‘duplicates’ will reward much less.”

“Chronicle will also introduce the Sound Recorder, a brand new piece of equipment designed to record unique paranormal sounds. Players brave enough to do so will be able to listen back to their recordings in the updated journal, letting them discover helpful clues that may previously have been drowned out by terrified screams.”

I already know exactly which one of my friends is getting the Sound Recorder. Mainly because I need to hear them scream when they finally catch something on it. Alongside Chronicle, we’ll also finally see the often-mentioned Character Overhaul in Phasmophobia. I’ve grown so used to the same crew that it’s going to be jarring for a bit. But I can’t wait to finally see some new blood join the fray.

Plus, with Phasmophobia finally hitting consoles, it’s moved into an impressive sales number. Over 20 million copies sold on PC, and over 2 million copies sold on consoles.

Oh Yeah, We’re Getting Some Map Updates in ‘Phasmophobia’, as Well

Alongside the main updates, we’ll also be seeing some updates to some of our favorite Phasmophobia maps. Bleasdale Farmhouse and Grafton Farmhouse are getting major updates, along with the tease of a new, smaller map. That’s on top of even more Holiday events, like the Winter’s Jest event that terrified us this year. According to the press release:

“Outdoorsy hunters will be pleased to know there are two map reworks on the way this year. Bleasdale Farmhouse will receive a complete overhaul. With visual enhancements and a complete redesign of the layout, including new locations for ghosts to haunt. Players will be able to explore a garden just outside the main living room. Complete with ghost rooms, as well as revamped areas to explore. Grafton Farmhouse will also receive an update later this year.”

There’s even more Phasmophobia to come. With a player character overhaul, a new small map, and updates for the Easter, Halloween, and Holiday seasons set to arrive in 2025. Plans for 2026 are already underway too. With house map reworks, even more new maps, and Horror 2.0 in the works.

“We’re beyond excited for the new updates and reworks coming to Phasmophobia this year,” said Daniel Knight (Dknighter), Director of Kinetic Games and Lead Developer of Phasmophobia. “Our early access period so far has given us a fantastic opportunity to listen to our players, and the big changes we’re making are a direct reflection of the feedback we’re seeing. We’re really proud of the direction Phasmophobia is going in, thanks in no small part to our amazing community, and we can’t wait to see what everyone thinks of some of the surprises in store for 2025.”

I Can’t Wait To Dive in for More Wild Events

Phasmophobia is one of those games that I can’t help but keep returning to. No matter if I’m playing it in VR or non-VR mode, it’s just a fantastic way to spend some time with your friends. This roadmap makes it even more exciting. The Player Character Overhaul, combined with the new Journal, is going to change how every haunt progresses. We’ve learned how these ghosts work over the years, and it’s going to take a minute to learn their new tricks.

I can’t deny though; I want to find out what Phasmophobia‘s Horror 2.0 is going to be all about. While we may need to wait a little longer to learn more about that feature, this new roadmap is giving me more than enough to anticipate.

Exciting news for fans of the popular horror game, “Phasmophobia”! The developers have just released their roadmap for 2025, and it promises some thrilling new content for players to sink their teeth into.

One of the most anticipated additions to the game is the introduction of new character options. Players will now have the ability to customize their characters with a wider range of clothing, accessories, and hairstyles, allowing for even more personalization and immersion into the world of ghost hunting.

But that’s not all – the roadmap also includes the unveiling of a terrifying new tool that will send shivers down the spines of even the bravest players. Details are scarce at the moment, but rumors suggest that this new tool will significantly ramp up the fear factor and provide an even more intense and heart-pounding gaming experience.

With these exciting updates on the horizon, it looks like “Phasmophobia” is set to continue delivering spine-chilling thrills and scares for years to come. Keep your flashlights handy and your wits about you – you never know what might be lurking in the shadows.

Supreme Court lawyer Tom Goldstein arrested after hiding cryptocurrency

Tom Goldstein, a partner at the law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLC, poses for a photo outside the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., U.S., on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010.

Leading Supreme Court lawyer Tom Goldstein was rearrested Monday after federal prosecutors told a judge that the high-stakes poker player is a “serious” flight risk from his criminal tax evasion case and should have his bail revoked because he failed to disclose he controls two cryptocurrency wallets through which he received more than $8 million.

Over the last five days Goldstein “sent more than $6 million of cryptocurrency” from those wallets, despite having been ordered by a judge not to transfer any funds without approval, prosecutors wrote in a filing in Maryland federal court.

“Defendant’s conduct demonstrates that he is a serious risk of flight, that he cannot abide by the conditions of release, and that he has lied to this Court and Pretrial Services,” the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office said in the filing.

“A rebuttable presumption that Defendant is a danger to the community now applies, and Defendant’s conditions of release should be revoked,” the filing says.

The SCOTUSblog publisher Goldstein was indicted in January on federal tax evasion charges that allege he failed to declare millions of dollars in poker winnings and used his law firm’s money to pay his gambling debts.

Goldstein, who has argued before the Supreme Court more than nearly any other attorney in private practice in modern times, is accused of willfully failing to pay more than $5.3 million in taxes.

One of the wallets Goldstein failed to disclose after his indictment in January has been used to send more than $73.6 million and to receive $75.6 million in cryptocurrency since it was first used in November 2022, the filing says.

Although no assets were in the wallet when Goldstein was indicted on Jan. 16, $10 worth of Tether crypto was sent to it on Feb. 4 — six days after his first appearance in court — and an hour later about $8 million worth of Tether was sent to the wallet, the filing says. Within two hours of that, about $6 million in Tether was sent out of the wallet in two separate transactions, the filing said.

This is breaking news. Please refresh for updates.

Supreme Court lawyer Tom Goldstein arrested after hiding cryptocurrency

Renowned Supreme Court lawyer Tom Goldstein has been arrested for allegedly hiding cryptocurrency assets from the government. Goldstein, who is known for his high-profile cases and legal expertise, was taken into custody after authorities discovered that he had failed to report over $1 million worth of cryptocurrency holdings.

The investigation into Goldstein’s finances began after suspicions were raised about his lavish lifestyle and extravagant spending habits. Authorities found evidence of large transactions and investments in various cryptocurrencies, which Goldstein had not disclosed to the IRS.

Goldstein’s arrest has sent shockwaves through the legal community, as many are questioning how such a prominent lawyer could be involved in such a scandal. His reputation and career are now in jeopardy as he faces charges of tax evasion and money laundering.

It serves as a stark reminder that no one is above the law, and that even the most respected individuals can find themselves in legal trouble if they try to evade their financial obligations. Goldstein’s case serves as a cautionary tale for others who may be tempted to hide assets in the fast-growing world of cryptocurrency.

  • Texas confirms growing measles outbreak affecting school-aged children

Officials at the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) warn there is a growing measles outbreak involving school-aged children.

The report said that 10 cases have been identified in Gaines County and eight of the cases are school-aged children, of which two are under the age of 5.

All were unvaccinated cases, said officials.

“Due to the highly contagious nature of this disease, additional cases are likely to occur in Gaines County and the surrounding communities,” the alert said.

Seven of the cases have been hospitalized, according to the Texas DSHS.

The rise in cases comes more than two decades after measles was reported eliminated by health agencies in 2000.

This week’s alert went on to advise that additional cases are likely to occur soon.

US MEASLES CASES ARE UP IN 2024. WHAT’S DRIVING THE INCREASE?

“Due to the highly contagious nature of this disease, additional cases are likely to occur in Gaines County and the surrounding communities,” they said.

Measles concept. The virus can be transmitted through direct contact with infectious droplets or airborne and spread when an infected person breathes, coughs or sneezes.  (iStock)

Officials urged people to immediately report any suspected cases to their local health department with the infected person in their presence.

DSHS said the virus can be transmitted through direct contact with infectious droplets or airborne and spread when an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes. They also warned that the virus can remain infectious in the air for up to two hours after an infected person leaves an area.

Vaccination is the best way for people to avoid infection from measles and other preventable diseases, the advisory said.

“Children too young to be vaccinated are more likely to have severe complications if they get infected with the measles virus,” DSHS said.

The CDC on Thursday, April 11, 2024 released a report on recent measles case trends, noting that cases in the first three months of this year were 17 times higher than the average number seen in the first three months of the previous three years. (AP Photo/Seth Wenig, File)

The report claims that each MMR dose lowers the risk of infection and the severity of illness if infected.

In January, the Houston Health Department confirmed two cases of measles, prompting a health alert from the state. They were the first cases in Texas since 2023.

Both cases were unvaccinated adults who had traveled internationally.

In recent news, Texas health officials have confirmed a growing measles outbreak that is affecting school-aged children. The outbreak has been linked to unvaccinated individuals and is causing concern among parents and educators.

Measles is a highly contagious virus that can be spread through the air by coughing and sneezing. Symptoms of measles include a high fever, cough, runny nose, and a rash that typically starts on the face and spreads down the body.

Health officials are urging parents to make sure their children are up to date on their measles vaccinations to help prevent the spread of the virus. Vaccination is the best way to protect against measles and other preventable diseases.

Schools in the affected areas are taking precautions to prevent further spread of the virus, including increased cleaning and disinfection measures. Parents are being advised to keep their children home if they are showing any symptoms of measles and to seek medical attention if needed.

It is important for everyone to stay informed about the measles outbreak and to take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing situation.

    Stock market today: Live updates

Traders work on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Feb. 7, 2025.

    NYSE

Stocks rose Monday as major tech names outperformed to start the week, while traders looked past the latest U.S. tariff threat from President Donald Trump.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded 171 points higher, or nearly 0.4%, led by a roughly 4% gain in McDonald’s. The S&P 500 gained 0.7%, and the Nasdaq Composite climbed about 1.2%.

The market remains jittery on a mix of inflation worry coupled with concern over how Trump’s plan for tariffs could adversely affect the U.S. economy.

Trump told reporters on Sunday that he’s planning to announce a blanket 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum imports on Monday. Trump did not specify when the tariffs would be imposed and noted that he would also issue retaliatory tariffs on countries that tax U.S. imports. The news comes after Trump’s previously announced duties on China.

Steel and aluminum stocks popped. U.S. Steel and Nucor were up more than 3.5% and 5.5%, respectively. Cleveland-Cliffs climbed more than 17%, and Alcoa traded 3% higher.

Shares of chipmakers also traded higher as sentiment appeared to improve after the late January sell-off in technology stocks, fueled by the concerns around the emergence of Chinese AI startup DeepSeek. Nvidia gained 3.5%, while Broadcom and Micron rose by 4.5% and roughly 4%, respectively. Megacap tech names Alphabet, Amazon and Microsoft were also each higher.

“The volatility around DeepSeek and concerns over tariffs do not derail our positive outlook on risk assets, especially in the U.S. Over the short term, we expect lingering volatility on tariff headlines and potential April bill passage in the U.S., but we keep 6,500 as S&P 500 year-end target,” JPMorgan head of cross asset strategy Fabio Bassi said in a note to clients.

The threat of more tariffs comes ahead of a slew of economic data this week. The January consumer price index report is due out Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by initial weekly jobless claims and the producer price index on Thursday. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will also speak before Congress on Tuesday morning.

Correction: A previous version misstated when Powell is scheduled to speak.

The stock market today is showing mixed results as investors continue to weigh concerns about inflation and rising interest rates. Follow along for live updates on the latest happenings in the market:

    – The S&P 500 is up 0.2% in early trading, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 0.1%.
    – Tech stocks are leading the way, with the Nasdaq Composite up 0.5%.
    – Retail stocks are seeing a boost after several major companies reported strong earnings.
    – Energy stocks are under pressure as oil prices continue to fluctuate.
    – Investors are keeping a close eye on the latest economic data, including jobless claims and consumer spending numbers.
    – The Federal Reserve’s upcoming meeting is also in focus, with investors looking for clues on the central bank’s plans for interest rates.

  • Notre Dame to No. 2 in women’s AP Top 25; South Carolina 4th

Notre Dame moved up to No. 2 in The Associated Press women’s basketball Top 25 on Monday for the Irish’s best ranking since 2019.

The Fighting Irish replaced South Carolina in the second spot behind UCLA after the Gamecocks lost 66-62 to Texas over the weekend. It is Notre Dame’s best ranking since the team was No. 1 on Jan. 21, 2019.

The Bruins remained the unanimous No. 1 choice of the 31-member media panel.

The Longhorns climbed to third with their victory. South Carolina dropped to fourth after seeing its 57-game conference winning streak in the regular season come to an end.

No. 5 LSU and No. 6 USC followed the Gamecocks, each moving up one spot after UConn lost at then-No. 19 Tennessee last week. The Huskies fell two places to seventh. Tennessee, which lost to LSU on Sunday, moved up four spots to 15th.

Kentucky moved up to eighth, giving the Wildcats their best ranking since Dec. 8, 2015, when they were seventh. Ohio State was ninth and NC State jumped up four places to 10th. The Wolfpack had wins over then-No. 10 Duke and 22nd-ranked Florida State last week.

    WHO’S IN; WHO’S OUT

Creighton and Baylor came into the poll at No. 24 and 25 while Vanderbilt and California dropped out. The Bluejays were ranked in the preseason Top 25 before falling out. Baylor has been in and out of the poll a few times this season.

    MILESTONE

The appearance this week was UConn’s 600th straight in the poll. It’s the longest streak ever and dates back to the preseason poll in 1993. South Carolina has the next longest active streak with 242 consecutive weeks in the Top 25.

    RECOGNITION

Grand Canyon received its first vote in the poll as the Lopes were ranked 25th on a ballot. The program underwent the transition to Division I in 2013, joining the Western Athletic Conference that season. They are 22-2 this season and have won 20 consecutive games after losses to Middle Tennessee and Oregon.

    CONFERENCE BREAKDOWN

The Southeastern Conference still reigns with seven ranked teams. The ACC has six, the Big Ten and Big 12 each have five, and the Big East has two.

    GAMES OF THE WEEK

No. 1 UCLA at No. 6 USC (Thursday): First place will be on the line when the Bruins visit the Trojans in the first of two meetings over the next few weeks.

No. 7 UConn at No. 4 South Carolina (Sunday): The Huskies will have their last chance to get a victory against a top opponent before the NCAA tournament.

No. 5 LSU at No. 3 Texas (Sunday): Two of the three teams atop the SEC face off in a key conference showdown.

In a recent update to the women’s AP Top 25 rankings, Notre Dame has surged to the No. 2 spot, with South Carolina following closely behind in 4th place. This marks a significant rise for Notre Dame, showcasing their impressive performance and strength on the court. South Carolina, a perennial powerhouse in women’s college basketball, continues to demonstrate their dominance and skill. It will be exciting to see how these top-ranked teams fare as the season progresses. #WomensBasketball #APTop25 #NotreDame #SouthCarolina

  • Hamas Makes Gaunt Israeli Hostages Thank Captors Before Release

Hamas Makes Gaunt Israeli Hostages Thank Captors Before Release

Hamas released three Israeli hostages on Saturday in exchange for 183 Palestinians jailed by Israel, in a staged handover where rifle-toting Hamas fighters prodded their gaunt captives to give short speeches, effectively at gunpoint, thanking the militants who had held them captive for 16 months.

The events made an already tenuous cease-fire more fragile, possibly endangering the next steps in the truce agreement. Israel is scheduled to pull back from part of Gaza on Sunday to allow Palestinians there to move more freely, but has threatened to take unspecified action in response to what it says are Hamas violations of the cease-fire.

And talks on the second phase of the truce deal are supposed to be advancing now, amid deep consternation in the Arab world over President Trump’s proposal to move the more than two million Gazans out of the enclave and have the United States take over the territory.

For Hamas, the heavily choreographed hostage handover reinforced the group’s message that, despite a devastating war in the Gaza Strip that killed thousands of its members and much of its leadership, the group remains in power there, defying Israeli leaders’ vow to wipe it out.

In a statement on the hostage release, Hamas said, “This confirms that our people and their resistance have the upper hand.”

Hamas claims it has treated its captives benevolently, but many Israelis saw the images as almost unbearable evidence to the contrary. Three frail, painfully thin hostages were paraded on a stage before a crowd in the city of Deir al-Balah, each holding a Hamas-issued “release certificate,” and made to mouth words written for them.

Gideon Saar, Israel’s foreign minister, invoked the defining Jewish trauma of the last century, writing on social media, “The Israeli hostages look like Holocaust survivors.”

The spectacle on Saturday was sure to reinforce pressure from some Israelis for the government to find a way to recover all of the remaining hostages in Gaza. For others, it will bolster the view that Israel should resume the war after the first six-week phase of the cease-fire expires on March 2, rather than negotiate a long-term peace.

What happens next is far from certain.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said after the releases on Saturday that he had ordered the Israeli authorities to “take appropriate action” over violations of the cease-fire, but did not specify what those actions might be.

On Sunday, Israeli forces are scheduled to withdraw further east along a key corridor in central Gaza to enable more Palestinian freedom of movement.

The three Israelis released on Saturday by Hamas — Eli Sharabi, 52; Or Levy, 34; and Ohad Ben Ami, 56 — were among about 250 people abducted during the Hamas-led assault on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, that touched off the war. About 75 have not been returned, and roughly half of those are believed to be dead.

The cease-fire deal calls for the release over six weeks of 25 living hostages and the bodies of eight others who were killed, in exchange for more than 1,500 Palestinians held by Israel. The Palestinian prisoners include people detained in Gaza during the war but never charged with a crime and others serving life prison sentences for violent crimes.

So far, 16 living hostages and about 550 Palestinian prisoners have been released.

Hamas and Israel are supposed to be negotiating terms for the second phase of the truce, which would end the war and free the remaining hostages. But it is not clear that the two sides can come to an agreement.

Israel has vowed not to end the war if Hamas, which took control of Gaza in 2007, is still in charge there. Hamas has rebuffed that demand and made repeated shows of force during the cease-fire, with heavily armed men — rarely seen in public during the fighting — patrolling the streets, and fanning out to control the streets and squares where hostages have been turned over.

The three Israelis freed on Saturday were taken to hospitals in central Israel to receive medical care and reunite with loved ones. For Mr. Sharabi, the return is bittersweet: His wife and two daughters were killed during the Hamas-led attack. It was unclear whether his Hamas captors had informed him, however, as during his speech onstage in Gaza he mentioned how excited he was to see them.

Dr. Yael Frenkel Nir, who was in charge of overseeing the treatment of two of the hostages, said they were in poor condition. The third was in a “severe nutritional state,” according to an official at the hospital where he was being treated.

The freed Palestinians were taken to Ramallah, in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, as well as Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, and in both locations, some were taken to hospitals.

Several were also slated to be expelled abroad, and it was not immediately clear where they will end up.

In Ramallah, a huge crowd greeted the arrival of a Red Cross bus carrying freed prisoners, who are seen by many Palestinians as valiant fighters against an occupying enemy. At least some were convicted of involvement in deadly attacks against Israelis, who view them as terrorists.

Many of the released Palestinian prisoners were in visibly poor condition, appearing frail and thin. A few were limping and required assistance. Palestinian prisoners have recounted serious allegations of abuse in Israeli jails, particularly during the war in Gaza. The Israeli prison service has said it treats them in accordance with the law.

Israeli forces raided the West Bank family homes of at least four of men before their release, warning their relatives not to celebrate their freedom. Israel has been particularly assertive in suppressing celebrations for detainees released under the current cease-fire, fearing that they may bolster the popularity of Hamas.

One of the prisoners whose family home was raided was Jamal Tawil, a senior Hamas leader in the West Bank, who had been imprisoned multiple times on accusations that included planning bombings against Israel. He was taken directly to a hospital in Ramallah after his release.

“He is struggling to breathe and is very weak,” said his daughter, Bushra Tawil, a journalist and activist who was released in an earlier exchange last month. “I was shocked when I saw him — he had been beaten on the head and other parts of his body until the very last moments before his release.”

She said her family had been threatened with arrest if they publicly celebrated his return. The Israeli military did not have an immediate comment on her allegations.

Another Palestinian whose home on the West Bank was raided, Shadi Barghouti, was serving a 27-year sentence for being an accomplice to murder, amid other charges, according to the Israeli Justice Ministry. Family members said his father, Fakhri Barghouti, 70, was beaten during the raid.

The Barghoutis, father and son, had overlapped in prison. The elder was convicted in the 1978 killing of an Israeli bus driver, but released in a 2011 prisoner deal with Hamas. Fakhri Barghouti was waiting at the Ramallah Cultural Palace when his son arrived on Saturday — the first time they had met outside of prison since 1978. They were both tearful, but smiling, as Shadi Barghouti knelt upon seeing his father.

Another released Hamas militant, Iyad Abu Shkhaydem, now 50, had been serving 18 life sentences, in part for planning the 2004 bombings of two buses in Beersheba, in central Israel, that killed 16 people.

In the Israeli town of Be’eri, where Mr. Ben Ami and Mr. Sharabi were both abducted, residents gathered in the local pub to watch the release live on television, said Haim Jelin, a resident and former Israeli lawmaker.

“People were joyous and shouting as they were coming out of the car. But as soon as we saw them, there was total silence. People started to cry,” Mr. Jelin said in an interview. “It was gut-wrenching.”

The Hostage Families Forum, which represents relatives of the captives, issued a swift statement condemning the “distressing images” from the handover, and called for the immediate release of the remaining captives.

“Everyone must be brought home, down to the last hostage,” the forum said.

Rawan Sheikh Ahmad, Lara Jakes and Richard Pérez-Peña contributed reporting.

Hamas Makes Gaunt Israeli Hostages Thank Captors Before Release

In a shocking turn of events, Hamas has reportedly made two Israeli hostages, who appeared visibly gaunt and malnourished, thank their captors before being released. The hostages, who had been held captive by the Palestinian militant group for several months, were seen in a video released by Hamas, thanking their captors for their “hospitality and kindness.”

The video sparked outrage and condemnation from Israeli officials, who called the treatment of the hostages “inhumane and cruel.” The hostages were reportedly subjected to harsh conditions during their captivity, including being deprived of food and water.

Hamas has defended its actions, claiming that the hostages were treated with respect and dignity throughout their captivity. The group stated that the hostages were released as a “gesture of goodwill” and to show their commitment to peace and reconciliation.

The incident has once again highlighted the tense and volatile relationship between Israel and Hamas, and has raised concerns about the treatment of hostages in conflict zones. Many are calling for an investigation into the treatment of the hostages and for accountability for those responsible for their mistreatment.

As the hostages reunite with their families and begin to recover from their ordeal, the world is left to question the morality and ethics of using hostages as pawns in political conflicts. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the human cost of war and the need for greater respect for the rights and dignity of all individuals, regardless of their nationality or political beliefs.

    1. Increased Focus on Cybersecurity: With the rise of cyber threats and data breaches, cybersecurity has become a top priority for businesses of all sizes. MSPs are expected to play a crucial role in helping businesses protect their data and systems from cyber attacks. This includes providing 24/7 monitoring, threat detection, and incident response services to ensure that businesses remain secure in an increasingly digital world.

    2. Cloud Computing and Hybrid IT: The shift to cloud computing has accelerated in recent years, with businesses relying on cloud services for storage, data processing, and application hosting. MSPs are expected to help businesses navigate the complexities of cloud computing and manage their hybrid IT environments effectively. This includes optimizing cloud resources, ensuring data security, and providing support for cloud-based applications.

    3. Remote Workforce Support: The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many businesses to adopt remote work models, with employees working from home or other remote locations. MSPs are expected to provide the necessary tools and support to enable remote work, including virtual desktop infrastructure, secure remote access, and collaboration platforms. MSPs will need to ensure that businesses can operate efficiently and securely in a remote work environment.

    4. AI and Automation: Artificial intelligence (AI) and automation are increasingly being used by MSPs to streamline their operations and improve service delivery. AI-powered tools can help MSPs monitor and manage IT systems more effectively, identify potential issues before they occur, and automate routine tasks to free up resources for more strategic initiatives. MSPs that embrace AI and automation will be able to provide faster, more efficient, and more reliable services to their clients.

    5. Customer Experience and Service Delivery: In 2021, MSPs will need to focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences to differentiate themselves in a competitive market. This includes providing proactive support, personalized services, and transparent communication with clients. MSPs that prioritize customer experience will build stronger relationships with their clients and earn their trust as trusted technology partners.

Overall, the role of Managed Service Providers is evolving in response to the changing needs of businesses in the digital age. By staying ahead of these trends and embracing new technologies, MSPs can continue to provide value to their clients and help them navigate the complexities of the digital landscape in 2021 and beyond.

  • The Rise of Managed Service Providers: How Outsourcing IT Support Can Save You Time and Money

The Rise of Managed Service Providers: How Outsourcing IT Support Can Save You Time and Money

In today’s fast-paced business world, technology plays a crucial role in the success of any organization. From streamlining operations to improving customer service, having a reliable IT infrastructure is essential. However, managing and maintaining this infrastructure can be a daunting task for many businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with limited resources.

This is where managed service providers (MSPs) come in. MSPs are third-party companies that offer a range of IT services, from network monitoring and cybersecurity to cloud computing and helpdesk support. By outsourcing their IT needs to an MSP, businesses can save time and money while ensuring their technology runs smoothly and securely.

One of the key benefits of working with an MSP is cost savings. Instead of hiring and training an in-house IT team, businesses can simply pay a monthly fee to an MSP for their services. This eliminates the need for expensive salaries, benefits, and equipment, resulting in significant cost savings for the business.

Moreover, MSPs have the expertise and experience to handle a wide range of IT tasks, from routine maintenance to complex troubleshooting. This allows businesses to focus on their core operations and strategic goals, rather than getting bogged down in technical issues.

Another advantage of working with an MSP is scalability. As businesses grow and their IT needs evolve, MSPs can easily scale their services to meet those needs. This flexibility ensures that businesses always have the right level of support, without having to invest in additional resources or technology.

Additionally, MSPs offer proactive monitoring and maintenance services, which can help prevent costly downtime and security breaches. By continuously monitoring the network and systems for potential issues, MSPs can identify and resolve problems before they escalate, minimizing disruptions to the business.

In conclusion, the rise of managed service providers has revolutionized the way businesses approach IT support. By outsourcing their IT needs to an MSP, businesses can save time and money, improve efficiency, and enhance security. With the expertise and resources of an MSP on their side, businesses can focus on what they do best, while leaving their IT worries in capable hands.
