CHICAGO – It was a mild Thursday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 40s.
Clouds, areas of fog, and patchy drizzle will linger through tonight with temperatures falling into the lower 40s.
A low pressure system will approach the area on Friday, bringing rain to the area during the day. Despite clouds and rain, temperatures will still warm nicely into the upper 40s. A few scattered showers may linger into Saturday.
The weekend looks mild with highs in the lower 50s on Saturday and mid 40s on Sunday. Saturday will be cloudy with a few stray showers possible. A better chance of rain will arrive on Saturday night into Sunday, mainly for the south suburbs and northwest Indiana.
We may finally get a glimpse of some sun on Monday, before more clouds roll in ahead of Tuesday’s storm system. Monday will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 40s.
Tuesday will bring another chance of precipitation, mainly in the form of rain, but some wet snowflakes may mix in. Highs will be around 40.
Colder, more seasonable air is set to move into Chicagoland by the middle of next week. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 30s, and then we drop to the 20s for highs by Thursday.
The forecast for Chicago this Friday is looking rather dreary, with rain showers expected throughout the day. As we round out the week, it seems Mother Nature has decided to give us a soggy send-off.
Don’t forget to grab your umbrella and rain boots before heading out the door, as the wet weather is likely to stick around for most of the day. Despite the gloomy conditions, it’s always important to stay prepared and dress accordingly to stay dry and comfortable.
