ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – UPDATE: First Alert 7 has confirmed that the child was flown to a Lubbock Hospital.
A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized after being hit by a City of Odessa Utility Vehicle on Thursday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS released the following information:
On Thursday, 12/26/24, at approximately 4:30 PM, Texas DPS Troopers responded to a crash at the intersection of Pile Ranch Road and Valley Road. The Preliminary information revealed that a City of Odessa Utility Vehicle was traveling westbound on Pile Ranch Road approaching the intersection of Valley Road when a collision occurred involving a 9-year-old child riding a bicycle. The child was transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa in stable condition. This crash remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
