The Washington Commanders held their first full speed practice of the week inside the bubble today. Dan Quinn gave some positive injury updates before practice began, saying that LB Bobby Wagner and K Zane Gonzalez are good to go for Saturday’s road playoff game against the Detroit Lions. Wagner didn’t practice all week due to an ankle injury, but was doing individual drills today. Wagner is an important leader in the Commanders defense, and would have be hard to replace vs a very good Lions offense.
Fellow starter Frankie Luvu has been dealing with a shoulder injury and was limited today after being a full participant in the team’s two walkthroughs. Backup LB Mykal Walker missed practice today due to illness. Rookie LB Jordan Magee is the only player ruled out after he reinjured his hamstring vs the Buccaneers.
The Washington Commanders have been going through kickers at an alarming rate this season, and Zane Gonzalez being listed on this week’s report with a hip injury was concerning. He was limited on Wednesday, but was a full participant the last two days. The team worked out three kickers this week, but won’t need to sign any of them for Saturday night’s playoff game.
The rest of the team is relatively healthy, with only one player listed as questionable. Rookie UDFA TE Colson Yankoff had his 21-day practice window opened last Wednesday, and he was listed as a full participant all week. He’s been on injured reserve since November 9th for a hamstring injury, and he could be activated for Saturday’s game, if needed.

As the Commanders gear up to face off against the Lions in the playoffs, both teams are dealing with a number of key injuries that could impact the outcome of the game.
The Commanders will be without star quarterback Alex Smith, who suffered a rib injury in their last game. In his place, backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke will need to step up and lead the offense.
On the Lions side, wide receiver Kenny Golladay is dealing with a hip injury that could sideline him for the game. This is a major blow to their passing attack and could give the Commanders defense an advantage.
Additionally, both teams are dealing with a number of other minor injuries to key players that could impact their performance on game day.
It will be interesting to see how these injuries play out and which team is able to overcome them to come out on top in this crucial playoff matchup. Stay tuned for updates on the injury report as game day approaches.
