The Dallas Cowboys have ruled out star receiver CeeDee Lamb for the team’s final two games because of an ongoing shoulder injury.
In a statement Thursday, the Cowboys said “additional examinations and scans” on Lamb’s shoulder resulted in the decision to rule him out for games against the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
The team said Lamb is not expected to need shoulder surgery and instead will “undergo a process of treatment and rehabilitation.”
He is expected to make a full recovery.
Lamb finishes the season with 101 receptions for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns.
The Dallas Cowboys have made the difficult decision to shut down star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for the remainder of the season due to a lingering shoulder injury. Despite his impressive performance on the field, the team’s medical staff has advised that Lamb needs time to fully recover in order to prevent further complications.
Lamb, who has been a key player for the Cowboys this season, has been dealing with shoulder issues for several weeks now. Despite his best efforts to play through the pain, it has become clear that he needs to prioritize his long-term health and well-being.
While this news is disappointing for both Lamb and Cowboys fans, the team is confident that this decision is in his best interest. The young receiver has shown incredible talent and potential, and the organization is committed to supporting him in his recovery and ensuring that he is ready to return to the field at full strength next season.
In the meantime, the Cowboys will need to rely on their depth at the wide receiver position to step up in Lamb’s absence. It will be a challenge to replace his playmaking abilities, but the team is determined to finish the season strong and make a push for the playoffs.
We wish CeeDee Lamb a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the field next season. #CowboysNation #CeeDeeLamb #InjuryUpdate
