Dangerously cold start, relief Tuesday afternoon
TUESDAY: Extreme Cold Warnings remain in effect until 11 am as wind chills drop into the -30s at time. Air temperatures are in the -10s, but quickly increasing through this morning. Highs reach the 30s again this afternoon, with a lot of sunshine! Winds will be breezy over the mountains.
REST OF THE WEEK: More breezy winds on Wednesday for most, gusts up to 40 mph. Temperatures remain well below average, in the 20s and 30s, with abundant sunshine. Friday will be much milder with 40s and 50s ahead!
WEEKEND: Temperatures drop back down into the 20s and 30s with increasing snow chances. Stay tuned!

As many of us wake up to a dangerously cold start this morning, with temperatures dipping well below freezing, there is some relief in sight. According to meteorologists, Tuesday afternoon is expected to bring warmer temperatures and a break from the bitter cold.
In the meantime, it is important to take precautions to stay safe in these frigid conditions. Make sure to dress in layers, wear a hat and gloves, and limit your time outside if possible. Check on elderly neighbors and those who may need assistance during this cold snap.
Remember to bring pets indoors and protect your plants from the cold. And never leave space heaters unattended or use them improperly, as they can be a fire hazard.
