Elijah Molden Injury: Suffers non-contact injury Saturday
Molden (shin) is questionable to return to Saturday’s game against the Patriots.
Molden suffered a non-contact injury to his left leg late in the third quarter of Saturday’s game. While he’s listed as questionable, it doesn’t appear likely that he’ll return to the contest given that he was carted off the field, coupled with the Chargers’ large lead in the fourth quarter. Eddie Jackson will take over at free safety while Molden in sidelined.
Washington Huskies defensive back Elijah Molden suffered a non-contact injury during practice on Saturday. Molden, a key player in the Huskies’ secondary, was seen limping off the field with trainers after going down during a drill.
The extent of Molden’s injury is not yet known, but any injury to the standout defensive back would be a big blow to the Huskies’ defense. Molden, a senior and team captain, has been a leader on and off the field for Washington and is widely considered one of the top defensive backs in the country.
Fans and teammates are hoping for a speedy recovery for Molden and are keeping their fingers crossed that the injury is not serious. Stay tuned for updates on Molden’s status as more information becomes available.
