Until a week or two ago when I saw this wall mount pop up as a suggested product for just under $25.00, I didn't think I could get a wall mount for my TV this cheap.
I was shocked by the price.
I always saw them for close to $100 at retail stores, so I wrote off ever getting one, a long time ago, and didn't ever think about it or consider it again until it popped up on Amazon…
So with the great reviews and the high enough quantity of reviews, for the price, I thought that there is little-to-no risk. It was listed for my TV size (mine being 52") and the weight of mine (a whopping 59 lbs) was within its limit as well, and the mounting hole spacing up to 400mm (mine was just over 393mm).
I received it quick and installed it in a stud that I triple checked with a stud finder, and it is solid. I did the stress test using most of my own weight…anchored in nicely, I have to say…. got it all balanced/aligned straight and the whole family loves it wall mounted.
The swivel and arm extension is more than enough to give it great range of moving to the left or right, with ease. The tilt forward/down has been perfect for our new higher viewing angle of the TV, instead of just straight 90 degree facing angle.
It still is a bunch of weight having about 60 lbs of TV extended out, so I've told my family to still be careful and not add stress weight to it…but again, it's solid in the stud with 3 nice long bolts to secure it.
I am overly happy with this gem of a product, and again, it seems to be a solid manufactured and nice looking mount.
It also came up just in time before I bought a wall mount or top-of-TV mount for a new center channel speaker for my surround system that was otherwise too big of a speaker to fit in front of my TV on the TV console…so again, the wall mount was the unexpected best option that came up just before getting a sub-par alternative that I had thought was my limited choices for my center speaker to not be in the way of my TV.
The noteworthy great product that I've found this Elived wall mount to be, makes me wonder if precise measuring and balancing for straight edge install was followed for any of the low reviews that exist. Of course, there are going to be manufacturing flaws in a small sample of products, and missing pieces (quality control, in some cases); but there is certainly more room for hastily or inaccurate installed (not followed instructions) for this hardware too…and minor miscalculations or wrong drill bit size used, etc…can make for some big issues in the way this hardware may end up…and it needs to be installed as close to right on the dot as possible.
