I was looking for a watch that would count steps and show some heart beat information. This one did pretty well with both those. I didn't install the app. I don't want or need it connected to my phone. I did have a few issues with the watch.
1. The watch band is a little short for me. I'd say I have an average size wrist and the band just made it around with a little bit that could be tucked in. Sometimes, depending on what I was doing the band would pop out. If you have a large diameter wrist I think you'll have a problem.
2. The watch required charging every night or I wouldn't get through the next day. If you are on the road and forget the special magnetic charging cable you can't get it charged.
3. Randomly, several times a day, the watch would vibrate and show me a watch face that had 09 30 on it in large numbers. I think it was trying to get me to buy a new watch face but I really don't know. It wasn't September 30 (09 30) or 9:30 am or pm so I'm not sure what it was trying to do.
4. There are not much in the way of instructions. Maybe if I installed the app (VeryFit is app name) I would have seen more instructions.
I was able to help the battery life by turning on Do Not Disturb (DND) in All-Day mode. I also changed the Vibrate setting to Weak (the lowest vibrate setting. It would be nice if you could turn vibrate OFF). I set the watch face to only display when I tapped it. Then I restarted the watch and I did see less of a drain on the battery (maybe 2-3 days between charges) but it would still vibrate and show me that 09 30 screen every now and then which was distracting.
I will say I was surprised with the heart rate sensor. I've had some older watches in this price range that did a horrible job with getting my heart rate near correct. This one did okay.

The seller ZX USA contacted me via Amazon to suggest some things I can try in order to correct some of the problems I was having. I have to give them credit for reaching out to me.
Update: Oct 28 2024
After trying the suggestions to extend battery life (1. Turn on Do Not Disturb 2. Change display to 20% brightness, 3. Change from lift-to-view to tap-to-view) I find that the battery life has been extended to 4-5 days. Not bad. The wrist strap is still a little short for me but it's usable and I hear there might be a fix coming for that. The random vibrate and show me the 0930 screen has also gotten better. I can't say it's gone away but it doesn't appear as often. it's a watch face selection screen.
I've raised my rating to four stars.
