FSU basketball game vs Georgia Tech Saturday: Time, TV channel, streaming
Florida State basketball (12-5, 3-3) ends its two-game homestand Saturday at the Donald L. Tucker Center at noon against Georgia Tech (8-10, 2-5) before it travels West next week.
FSU is coming off a signature victory against Pittsburgh on Wednesday night. It was the Seminoles’ first quality win.
FSU’s Malique Ewin recorded his third straight double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds against Pitt. He is shooting 59% from the field (102 of 173) to lead the ACC.
The Seminoles remain in the middle of the pack of the ACC standings at No. 8.
FSU moved up to No. 64 in the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) rankings, which takes into account game results, winning percentage, strength of schedule, game location, net offensive and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses.
FSU has an opportunity to end January on a winning note. Two of FSU’s next three opponents are below .500 in league play in Georgia Tech, Cal (8-9, 1-5), Stanford (11-6, 3-4) and Virginia Tech (8-9. 3-3).
Georgia Tech, however, has beaten FSU in five of the last seven meetings, including last year, 85-76.
The Yellow Jackets are led by senior guard Lance Terry, who is averaging 15.4 points per game. Sophomore guard Naithan George leads the ACC in assists at 6.3 per game.
FSU has won the last six meetings against the Yellow Jackets at the Tucker Center and is 7-2 at home.
