Gabrielle Union Debuted a Dramatic Bob at Paris Fashion Week

Gabrielle Union may have just single-handedly revived the asymmetrical bob—and that’s not the only head-turning element of her most recent outfit. Stepping out at Paris Fashion Week, the actress debuted her fresh cut with a semi-naked dress from Schiaparelli that featured sheer panels which exposed her midriff, her thighs, and her calfs. The off-the-shoulder gown also featured a body-hugging silhouette and short black sleeves that hit just above Union’s elbow.

Worn in celebration of Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture show, the look was an edgy take on Old Hollywood elegance, while her haircut recalled the best of early aughts beauty trends. Union’s heels, meanwhile, were sky-high and each dotted with a large black bulb, giving the effect of 3D polka dots.

When the temperatures dropped, Union turned up the glamour another notch by adding a sleek black overcoat draped over her shoulders with absolute effortlessness.

This isn’t the first time that Union has sported a bob, of course. She frequently changes up her hair and often opts for a chic, face-framing side-part ‘do. As for her semi-sheer dress? It’s just the latest in a string of recent sartorial hits which include a chainmail gown, a butt-baring film premiere ensemble, and another strikingly similar striped sheer dress, the latter of which she wore to her husband Dwyane Wade‘s Miami Heat statue unveiling.
