The six-time defending Patriot League champion Holy Cross football team has announced its 12-game schedule for the 2025 season.

Holy Cross will open its season on the road against an FBS foe, with an Aug. 30 game at Northern Illinois. It will be the first meeting ever between the Crusaders and Huskies, who upset national championship finalist Notre Dame during the 2024 season.
The Crusaders will then travel to take on New Hampshire on Sept. 6. The Wildcats ended the year with a Top 25 ranking in both the AFCA and Stats Perform final polls.
Holy Cross’ home opener is set for Sept. 13 against Rhode Island, which ranked No. 9 in FCS at the end of the 2024 season. The Crusaders will then hit the road again to face Ivy League foe Yale on Sept. 20.
To open Patriot League action, Holy Cross will visit Fordham on Sept. 27. The Crusaders will return home on Oct. 4 for their Homecoming matchup and final non-conference contest against Harvard.
After a bye week, Holy Cross will travel to Richmond on Oct. 18 as the Spiders enter their first season in the Patriot League.
The Crusaders then return to Worcester for back-to-back home games, with Patriot League contests set vs. Colgate (Oct. 25) and Lafayette (Nov. 1). The latter will be Holy Cross’ Family Weekend.
Holy Cross hits the road again on Nov. 8 to face 2024 Patriot League co-champion Lehigh. The following week, the Crusaders travel to play Bucknell on Nov. 15.
To round out the regular season, Holy Cross will host Georgetown on Nov. 22.
The Crusaders are set to return four All-Patriot League players in 2025, highlighted by All-New England running back Jayden Clerveaux and first team receiver Max Mosey, who led Holy Cross in receiving yards a year ago.
Holy Cross clinched a share of an unprecedented sixth straight Patriot League Championship in 2024, extending its streak of the most consecutive titles in conference history. The Crusaders have a 24-2 record in conference games in the 2020s and are 33-5 in league play since 2018.
