Influencer Bobbi Althoff reveals she’s broken up with mystery boyfriend… who fans claimed was NFL star

Podcaster and influencer Bobbi Althoff has opened up on her split with a mystery boyfriend fans believed was an NFL player in an emotional video on TikTok.

Althoff sparked rumors she was dating a football star last month after posting a blurred video with an unidentified man to ‘soft-launch’ her new relationship.

Social-media detectives pinpointed Arizona Cardinals cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, who she has been seen with on frequent occasions in the past, as her new lover’s potential identity, while others suggested it could have been ex-New York Jets offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi.

However, Ogbuehi quickly took to Instagram to insist it was neither he or Murphy-Bunting in the video, which Althoff herself backed up.

Though while his identity remains unknown, Bobbi – who went through a divorce last summer – revealed earlier this week that she has broken up with her mystery boyfriend on amicable terms.

‘There’s really no tea. I have nothing negative to say about said person,’ she said while looking teary-eyed.

‘Me and my ex-husband broke up like in July of 2023, and I didn’t talk to anybody else or anything for about a year after.

‘And then I got lonely, met a guy around Thanksgiving. And I think things moved really fast. I don’t know, I thought it was f***ing fate. Clearly it wasn’t.’ 

Althoff’s latest romance was her first since she finalized a divorce with ex-husband Cory – who is the father of her two daughters Isla, 2, and Luca, 4 – in the summer.

She went on to reveal in the video that the mystery relationship ended after her decision to call it quits before quickly changing her mind backfired.

‘He was just very thoughtful, and I think it raised the bar for me – which sometimes sucks because then it’s like f***… I didn’t want the bar to be raised at all,’ Althoff continued.

‘But nevertheless, it didn’t work out. He broke up with me, then he ended his breakup. Then I broke up with him, and when I tried to undo my breakup there was no undoing it. He was done.’

Althoff rose to fame following her viral interview with Drake in 2023. At the time of writing she has 8.2 million followers on TikTok, four million on Instagram and close to 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube. 

Prior to her divorce with Cory, the online personality was forced to deny rumors of an affair with Drake after their viral interview together.

Speculation over a romantic fling with the Canadian rapper was rife after she released the awkward interview in 2023, before she deleted it and the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram.

A month later Bobbi spoke out about her alleged beef with the music star, keeping coy about the cause of it, while insisting they are not having a sexual relationship. 

She also shut down any speculation that her and Drake had ever been romantic in a private message to Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who shared the conversation on his Instagram account. 

Cory cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for pulling the plug on his four-year marriage to Althoff, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
