Injury Report: Week 17 vs Rams
Special teams ace Joey Blount will be inactive on Saturday. The safety went down with a rib injury against the Panthers and did not practice throughout the week.
“He plays a couple of different roles for us on four phases, so we’ll plug and play different guys in the spots that he’s in,” coach Jonathan Gannon said. “He’s one of our alpha dogs on teams. That’s a tough one for us.”
The Cardinals will also be without cornerback Elijah Jones (ankle) and kicker Matt Prater (left knee) who remain on Injured Reserve.
Gannon also said James Conner has been doing “good” as he practices through a right knee injury. The running back is questionable to play, as is fellow running back Trey Benson (ankle).
Outside linebacker Baron Browning and left guard Evan Brown (neck) are also questionable. Brown’s availability would be crucial considering the Cardinals are already down both of their starting offensive tackles, although Brown was questionable with the same injury last week and still played all 70 snaps.
Linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. has passed concussion protocol and good to go for this weekend.
The Rams have listed right tackle Rob Havenstein (shoulder) as questionable.
Injury Report: Week 17 vs Rams
As the regular season comes to a close, the injury report for the upcoming game against the Rams is a crucial factor in determining the outcome. Here are the latest updates on key players:
– Quarterback: Our starting quarterback is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury. He has been limited in practice this week and will be a game-time decision.
– Running back: Our top running back is dealing with an ankle injury and is also questionable for Sunday’s game. The coaching staff is monitoring his progress closely and will make a decision before kickoff.
– Wide receiver: One of our key wide receivers is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury. He has not practiced all week and is unlikely to play in this important matchup.
– Defense: On the defensive side of the ball, our star linebacker is questionable with a knee injury. His status will be determined closer to game day, but his presence on the field will be sorely missed if he is unable to play.
Overall, the injury report for Week 17 against the Rams is concerning, as several key players are dealing with significant injuries. The coaching staff will need to make strategic decisions on player rotations and game plans to compensate for these potential absences. Stay tuned for more updates as game day approaches.
