While temperatures are rising and we’re on our way out of the sub-zero temperatures we saw earlier this week, the snow still won’t quit.
MICHIGAN, USA — Thursday brings with it another day of school closings in West Michigan as the cold and snow persists.
While temperatures are rising and we’re on our way out of the sub-zero temperatures we saw earlier this week, the snow still won’t quit, especially for some of the lakeshore communities.
Areas further north like Gaylord have seen over 12 inches of snow so far during this arctic blast, while communities on the lakeshore saw anywhere from 6-12 and areas more inland saw around 3-6.
Road conditions in some communities have even been called “treacherous” at times, prompting many schools to close. While conditions began to improve Wednesday, some communities will see more snow overnight.
