Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Titans Week 17 inactives: Wingard to likely replace Savage
The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without several key players today in their matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
The team will be without starting left tackle Walker Little for the remainder of the year as announced by head coach Doug Pederson earlier this week.
Little suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Las Vegas Raiders last week and will be shut down for the rest of the year. Backup lineman Cole Van Lanen will fill in for him and rookie tackle Javon Foster will be active today.
He’s the fifth starter to suffer a season ending injury, joining Trevor Lawrence, Christian Kirk, Evan Engram and Gabe Davis as players who are out for the year.

The team will also be with linebacker Ventrell Miller who also suffered an ankle injury and did not practice at all this week.
They signed linebacker Joe Giles-Harris to the active roster this week to add depth to the room.
Jaguars vs. Titans Week 17 INACTIVES: Savage to miss game, Wingard likely will replace him
Darnell Savage was also ruled out after suffering a concussion last week and not clearing the protocol this week.
After sporting a non-contact jersey for most of training camp as he rehabbed a shoulder injury, he had a quad injury that sidelined him several weeks at the start of the season.
The team planned to originally use him as a nickel corner, emphasizing his versatility to defend in different ways. But due to injuries to other players and down performance at the safety position, he was moved to safety and has remained there for most of the year.
With him sidelined this week, Andrew Wingard will likely get the start for the Jaguars at safety. Wingard had a strong training camp before injuring his knee in training camp.
Wingard was primed to potentially have a large role in defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen’s scheme, but was sidelined for several weeks and is only now getting his legs under him.
“He was in the plan. The whole way, the rotation, the plan from the very beginning. So, he made some plays,” Nielsen said earlier this week. “He had a good camp and then had an unfortunate injury, and we changed some things defensively, personnel-wise because of that. We’re glad to have him back.”
He was selected as the sixth captain for the team this week and will likely have a large role on defense as the team tries to close out the year strong.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are gearing up to face off against the Tennessee Titans in Week 17, and there are some key players who will be inactive for the game. One notable absence will be safety Armani Watts, who is dealing with an injury and will not be suiting up. In his place, Andrew Wingard is expected to step in and fill the void left by Watts.
Wingard has been a reliable presence in the Jaguars’ secondary this season, and his versatility and playmaking ability make him a solid replacement for Watts. While it’s always tough to see a player go down with an injury, the Jaguars can rest assured knowing that Wingard is more than capable of holding down the fort in Watts’ absence.
In addition to Watts, other key inactives for the Jaguars include linebacker Quincy Williams and wide receiver Jalen Camp. Both players have been dealing with injuries and will not be available for the game against the Titans.
Despite these absences, the Jaguars are confident in the depth and talent of their roster and are ready to put up a fight against their division rivals. With Wingard stepping up and other players ready to make an impact, Jacksonville is poised to give the Titans a run for their money in Week 17. Stay tuned for what is sure to be an exciting matchup between these two AFC South teams.
