Jamie Lee Curtis is telling it like it is. The Oscar winner stopped by The View this morning to promote some of her upcoming projects, but before chatting about The Last Showgirl and The Sticky, the actress doled out some holiday cheer for each of the members of the Hot Topics table.
As she walked onstage, Curtis carried a bundle of presents and passed them out to Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin before she sat down.

“‘Tis the season!” she exclaimed, as Behar said she “loved” the holidays and asked her guest if she felt the same.
“I love the season,” Curtis replied, then, gesturing to the gifts, explained, “This is from My Hand in Yours, which is my charity which supports Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.”
Curtis continued,”And I just decided to bring you a couple of our favorite new items on our website, because ’tis the season,” then paused before adding, “To stay out of everybody’s business!”
Her line got a laugh from the panel and confirmation from Behar, who nodded and told her, “Exactamente.”
Curtis quipped, “Because I am that girl,” then took it one step further by proclaiming, “I am Scrooge’s slightly slutty sister,” which only prompted Behar to ask, “Slightly?”
Curtis feigned indignation as she shot back, “Hey now! I’m an old married lady, as you know. Back in the [day], you know. But you know, I am a little Scrooge-y.”
On a more serious note, Curtis said she understood the holiday cheer but felt there was “so much obligation” around the season and what she called “the holiday industrial complex.”
Curtis told the panel, “It makes you feel as if, if you don’t do more somehow you’re not good enough, and I gotta tell you, I’m just over it.”
We have a feeling she’s not the only one, but she may be one of the few brave enough to say it on national television.
The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
