ORLANDO, Fla. — The parents of Jennifer Kesse, who has been missing for nearly 20 years, took to social media to mark the anniversary of her disappearance.
Investigators believe Kesse was abducted outside her condo near the Mall at Millennia in Orlando on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006. She’s never been seen since.
Hear parents Drew and Joyce Kesse took to Facebook on Friday, asking: “How can a missing person’s case with such awareness not produce even a direction 19 years later is inconceivable, yet very true and we, Jennifer’s family and friends, live with that very real fact day in and day out.”
Her car was last seen dumped by an unidentified man a mile away from her home at an Orlando apartment complex.
In a 2020 interview with Spectrum News, the Kesses say they knew about 75% of what was in the Orlando Police Department’s investigative files, like case timelines, photos of Jennifer’s abandoned car found at a nearby apartment complex, surveillance video of a person dropping off that car, and family and friend statements.
There are some unredacted police files that the Kesse family is trying to collect. In fact, in 2019, the family filed and settled a lawsuit with the Orlando Police Department for access to investigative records.
In Friday’s Facebook post, the Kesse family thanked their lawyers and private investigators, along with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
