Kansas Signee Jaliya Davis Named McDonald’s All-American
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s basketball signee Jaliya Davis has been named a 2025 McDonald’s All-American, and will participate in the McDonald’s All-America game on April 1, 2025, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Davis becomes the third McDonald’s All-American in Kansas women’s basketball history and the second to sign with the Jayhawks out of high school. KU’s previous signee was Lauren Ervin, who played in the 2003 event, while Jessica Washington was selected to play in the game in 2013. Washington played two seasons at North Carolina before transferring to Kansas for the 2016-17 season.
A 6-foot-2 forward from Leawood, Kansas, Davis is the No. 1 prospect in the state of Kansas and recently became the all-time leading scorer in the history of Blue Valley North High School. She is rated a five-star prospect and the No. 17 recruit in the country by ESPNW, becoming the highest-ranked player to sign at Kansas during Schneider’s tenure. Davis was previously named one of 50 prep seniors on the Naismith Trophy Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List.
Davis comes to Kansas as a part of a historic recruiting class that’s ranked No. 6 in the nation by ESPNW. The Class of 2025 includes a second five-star prospect in guard Keeley Parks of Norman, Oklahoma, and four-star players in forward Tatyonna Brown of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and guard Libby Fandel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Davis, a native of Wichita, Kansas, has been turning heads with her impressive skills on the court. She is known for her scoring ability, quickness, and basketball IQ. Her hard work and dedication to the game have paid off with this prestigious honor.
Being named a McDonald’s All-American is a huge accomplishment and a testament to Davis’ talent and potential. She will now have the opportunity to showcase her skills on a national stage and compete against some of the best high school players in the country.
