The Lions will have linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin back for Monday night’s game against the 49ers.
Reeves-Maybin has been activated from injured reserve. He has missed the last eight games with a neck injury and was listed as questionable to play on the team’s final injury report.
Reeves-Maybin had 11 tackles and a forced fumble while playing on both defense and special teams in the first eight games of the season.
The Lions announced that they have also elevated running back Jermar Jefferson and defensive lineman Chris Smith from the practice squad. Both players will revert back after Monday night’s game is over.
The Detroit Lions have activated linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Reeves-Maybin was placed on the list last week after testing positive for the virus, but has since been cleared to return to the team.
This is great news for the Lions, as Reeves-Maybin has been a key contributor on defense this season. He has recorded 46 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 interception in 11 games so far.
With Reeves-Maybin back in the lineup, the Lions will have a boost to their defense as they continue to push for a playoff spot. Look for him to make an impact in their upcoming games as they make a final push towards the postseason. #OnePride
