Mixed feelings, not bad.

This thing is about $50 more than any regular n100+16ram, which has a fan. The N100s are faster and while at the same time use less power.
And if you wanted to get a fanless n100, the MeLe is only $30 more. So it just makes sense to pay a little more and buy the newer fanless version.
This machine works fine, but it does get insane hot. You all know that the death of any electrical component is excessive heat. If you intend to use this for gaming, it will die a quick death. Something inside is going to burn up and fail, including the SSDs. If you plan use this passively, it would be fine.
My solution was to buy a usb pc-fan to put on top of it. The new external fans have 3 speed settings and it keeps it very cool. The downside is that it is no longer dead silent. The Mele Fanless is truely a silent machine, but you all should consider just getting a regular miniPC that isn't fanless. This case is just a giant heatsink and does not do a good job of cooling, it just gets hotter and hotter and hotter.

Support dubious destined to be a brick

Despite the unit having a superior fanless cooling I’m sending it back due to the dubious support. I wanted to see what the process was like to reinstall the OS from scratch and found the English part of their website unworkable. Without going into details, they have the files on two different hosts, each one with its own set of quirks and setback and instructions that do not apply.
Also it has a Celeron CPU.
I’m looking to get an AMD with American support. So sad as the cooling technology is really nice but nice is useless if you can’t get a software driver to make it work

I put one of the 8GB versions these in a conference room months ago. Fine for low use, but just slightly slow, and time is money, so I only bought the one. But this newer model has 16 GB RAM, which I feel is needed for Windows 11. It comes with its own bracket so it can be mounted on the back of a monitor and free up precious desktop space. I'm going to put some of these in our production areas at standing desks and see how they perform, and if they last. At less than half the price of Dell micros, no cooling fans, already loaded with Windows 11, I have to try them.

This is an excellent mini PC. No fan, so very quiet. It does not get too hot. The only issue is the slow-speed eMMC drive that contains the Windows OS. I decided to clone the eMMC OS drive to the fast M.2 NVME SSD of this mini PC and use the eMMC drive for data. Now this mini PC boots from its fast SSD and performs a lot better than before. I've been using it for watching a live stream show 24/7 using an internet browser. Overall I'm happy with this product.

I run Home Assistant in a VM on this, together with a 8TB Samsung QVO 2.5" SATA drive for my NAS solution.

This complete solution sips 6W at idle with no external connections other than the power and wired LAN.

I remote in occasionally via RDP, and find it a good snappy solution.

Wake on Lan also works, as does power on after power failure, although I do have the device connected to a TalentCell SL3400 mini UPS anyway together with a Draytek 2865ac router. This makes for a great VPN/NAS/Home automation always on solution.
