Mike Green Dominates Senior Bowl Drills With Insane Bull Rush Display

For the standout Group of Five players who dominated their level of competition, the Senior Bowl and other pre-NFL Draft all-star circuits are a perfect opportunity for them to prove they can compete no matter the opponent or the setting.

Marshall Thundering Herd star edge rusher Mike Green took that opportunity by the horns in a 1-on-1 rep with Oregon Ducks tackle Josh Conerly Jr., showing why he could have played at any level … and maybe why he should be a no-brainer Day 1 pick.

Green was one of the most highly anticipated invitees at the 2025 Senior Bowl, and it did not take long for him to establish his own signature moment that will surely stick in the minds of those in attendance and fans online alike.

In an O-line/D-line 1-on-1 drill, the Marshall pass rusher lined up against Conerly — who gave up just two sacks in his Oregon career — and put him in the dirt, signaling his strength and power in an eye-popping bull rush display.

This caught people’s eyes immediately, with one user saying, “This Mike Green rush will be making the rounds.”

Across Division I (FBS and FCS), Green ranked first in sacks, third in QB hits, and 10th in pressures, an absurd level of production that warrants the attention of everyone in the NFL Draft community.

College Sports Network’s Will Helms highlighted Green’s standing as an NFL Draft prospect in his scouting profile, projecting him for a potential role as an “edge-rushing specialist with three-down potential.”

“If your team needs an elite pass-rusher, look no further than Mike Green,” Helms said. “His ceiling is as high as any prospect in this draft class and he has the potential to put up double-digit sacks from the start.

“There’s sure to be an NFL learning curve, as he adjusts to a more complex system and higher variety of alignments. That being said, his pass-rushing arsenal is elite and his bend is borderline generational, and those things translate. Even if his real play weight is closer to 240 or 245 pounds, he has the ability to wreck offensive gameplans.”
