Mild Friday before wet weekend


Friday’s forecast in Baltimore calls for seasonably pleasant conditions — sunny, with a high near 41 and west wind 7 to 10 mph — before a wet weekend and then a frigid start to next week.

Clouds will increase overnight with an overnight low around 29 before Saturday starts with a chance of rain and snow showers before 1 p.m. and a chance of rain after that, according to the National Weather Service. The high is expected to be around 44 with a 30% chance of precipitation.

Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 29 and calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph after midnight.

Snow is likely Sunday, possibly mixed with rain, mainly after 1 p.m. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy  with a high near 35 and 60% chance of precipitation. Sunday night there’s a 40% chance of precipitation before 1 a.m. and an overnight low around 15.

Monday, which is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, will be sunny with a high near 22 and overnight low around 5.

Tuesday will be even colder: mostly sunny with a high near 18 and overnight low around 4.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high near 20 and low around 8.

Thursday is expected to be warmer, with a high near 30.

Tuesday will likely be even colder, with mostly sunny skies, a high near 20 and a low again near 9.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high around 24.

As we wrap up the work week, it looks like we’re in for a mild Friday before a wet weekend ahead.

Today’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 70s, making it the perfect day to enjoy some time outdoors before the rain sets in.
