‘Most handsome man in the world’: Hugh Jackman posts thirst trap after latest Sutton Foster romance rumours

The Wolverine star posted the bare-chested new snap to his 34.5 million followers via Instagram on Monday, which promptly became one of his most liked photos of the year.

“Gotta love December in Oz,” Jackman wrote in the caption.

Fans were quick to praise the 56-year-old movie star and former People magazine Sexiest Man Alive winner on his impressive physique.

“Most handsome man in the world,” one fan wrote.

“Merry Christmas Hugh, I’m sure carving up the turkey was easy,” another said.   

Jackman is understood to have spent the holidays back in Australia alongside his son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 19, who he shares with his ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

The Sydney native owns an impressive $12 million penthouse in North Bondi but primarily lives in New York City.

Hugh’s pool selfie comes after he reportedly reconsidered plans for a blended Christmas with his rumoured new girlfriend and Music Man co-star Sutton Foster.

According to a source close to the showbiz family who spoke to Woman’s Day last week, both Oscar and Ava feel torn between their parents amid Jackman’s relationship with Foster.

“It’s been hard for the kids, having to welcome Sutton into their father’s world with their own mixed feelings about it, while at the same time feeling guilty if they get too close,” the source said.

“It’s all getting a bit messy but Hugh’s hoping time heals all wounds so if they can get through this holiday season without any big blow-ups, they’ll be in smoother waters coming into the new year.”

Jackman and Furness, 68, announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the couple said in a joint statement at the time.

“Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

Jackman and Furness wed in 1996 after meeting on the set of the miniseries Correlli.

Although the Furness-Jackman split appeared amicable, unconfirmed rumours have subsequently emerged about Jackman’s relationship with Foster while the stars were appearing in the Broadway revival of Music Man in 2021.

Speculation surrounding the 49-year-old actress and Jackman intensified in October when Foster filed for “uncontested divorce” from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, in New York County Supreme Court.

According to a family friend who spoke to Radar Online earlier this month, Furness is “seething” over the relationship with Foster.

“It’s a delicate balancing act and (Hugh) feels like if anyone is going to spend less time with the kids this year, it’s him,” they said.
