beware of different bracket stand and VESA plates on this item
There is no consistency here on what they send out under this product number. They sell two different bracket stands and monitor VESA plates depending on which ever one they feel like sending out. I literally purchased the same item from less than a year ago. You can see the difference in the two clamps that you may receive in the photos of their marketing material. I am not talking about a difference between a std clamp install and a grommet base install either. The newest one I got was one unit which I screwed the "L" plate beneath and mounted to the desk. The other one is the most frustrating one I have dealt with, was the first one I got which requires screws at the top before you can clamp into place. Both designs exist under the same part number. I had a VESA plate that came with the first unit I own that has now become my secondary monitor off to the side. You think it would be interchangeable. The notch is now lower, so I had to utilize the newer plate over the existing one I already had screwed in place.

Pretty simple to put together. Took maybe 15-20 minutes. It's a bit awkward to move and initially put on the desk, so you may need to ask for a second person to help balance it while you tighten the screw. All in all. Good price. Good metal. It's a solid tool and it pivots left to right (depending on where I'm sitting and how the sunlight is hitting on my desk).

I was able to take 2 work monitors and clean up my desk space. There is restriction in what movement you can use, this is something I should have considered. That’s not the products fault, that’s on me. It was way to install and does not seem flimsy.

I purchased this back in March (2023). Easy to set up, but some screw heads strip easily – this could be my fault. Either way, range of motion is great. Over time, though, I've noticed that even a small touch will immediately make my monitor fall forward – so low that it's hitting my desk. Even after readjusting and attempting to tighten the screw (not stripped), it still slowly leans forward. I'll have to purchase new.

I live in a small apartment and have a small, narrow Ikea Micke desk like Otto. I spent months trying to find the perfect monitor mount that would fit in the grommet hole because Micke doesn’t have edge to clip. MOUNTUP is the only one that works. It was super easy to assemble, high quality, and very sturdy. I finally have spaces on my Micke! LOVEl LOVE LOVE this monitor mount. Don’t hesitate, just buy it!!! Highly recommend.
