Multiple Advisories issued as snow, wind chill values of 5 below possible
NASHVILLE, Tenn.–FOX 17 News has issued a CODE RED weather alert due to multiple advisories as frigid temperatures and snow move into Tennessee.
Light snow will begin to fall Saturday night into the early afternoon on Sunday. Most areas will only see a light dusting of a half inch while the Plateu could see up to 1″ and possibly higher in some spots. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Plateu on Sunday from 4am to 6pm. Bridges and overpasses could be slick due to conditions.
A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Middle Tennessee as temperatures will drop to the single-digits early Monday morning. Wind chill values could reach 5 degrees below zero. Temperatures may remain at or below freezing from Saturday night through Wednesday.
Monday’s high is expected to be just 23 degrees and Tuesday’s high only 29 degrees.
