Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz proved a dream team in the spy flick Back in Action, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top 10 English Film list with 46.8 million views. It’s the most views in a premiere weekend for an English-language movie since The Adam Project arrived in March 2022. Since its Jan. 17 debut, Back in Action has made its mark as a crowd-pleaser: it reached No. 1 in 85 countries, which is the most for an English-language movie since 2023’s Extraction 2, and landed in the Top 10 in 93 countries.

Fans couldn’t get enough of Diaz in action, propelling 2010’s Knight and Day to No. 4 on the English Film list with 5.2 million views. Meanwhile, Carry-On made a smooth landing at No. 5 with 3.6 million views. The airport thriller, starring Taron Egerton, Sofia Carson, and Jason Bateman, has now secured the No. 3 spot on the Most Popular English Films list with 160.1 million views. And the hits kept coming, with yet another original action flick, France’s Ad Vitam, retaining its No. 1 spot for a second week in non-English Film with 25.5 million views.

The action of American Primeval, a harrowing dramatization of the real-life Mountain Meadows Massacre in 1857, also resonated with audiences. In its second week, the limited series from executive producers Pete Berg, Mark L. Smith, and Eric Newman jumped to No. 1 in English TV with 14.3 million views.

There was plenty of love for XO, Kitty’s second season, which premiered on Jan. 16 and debuted at No. 2 on the English TV list with 14.2 million views. Romance aficionados prepared for new episodes by watching Season 1, which reached No. 6 with 3.1 million views. Missing You didn’t miss at No. 3 with 5.6 million views, while this week’s episode of WWE Raw delivered a devastating elbow drop at No. 4 with 3.7 million views. And fans geared up for The Night Agent Season 2 — premiering on Jan. 23 — by debriefing with Season 1 (No. 7, 2.4 million views).

Squid Game continued to dominate non-English TV: Season 2 hit its fourth consecutive week at No. 1 with 13.2 million views, while Season 1 landed at No. 5 with 5 million views. Other big wins included the hit anime series SAKAMOTO DAYS, which debuted at No. 2 on the non-English TV chart with 8.6 million views, the Swedish limited series The Breakthrough, which broke through at No. 3 in its second week with 6.9 million views, and the Colombian thriller Fake Profile: Killer Match, which proved to be the real deal at No. 4 with 5.1 million views. Fake Profile Season 1 ranked at No. 7 with 2.9 million views.
