The Washington Commanders, with head coach Dan Quinn in his first year in charge and with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels under centre, have taken down the top seed in the NFC – the 15-2 Detroit Lions.

Daniels was decisive, incisive and cold-blooded as he just kept on producing the goods play after play after play, and that relelntless aggression was just too much for the Lions to keep pace with.

Especially with Detroit committing five turnovers to scupper their attack, and with their injury-hit defence unable to slow Daniels down proving to be the big difference.
