On 16 January 2025, as scheduled, a technical meeting and an inspection visit was carried out at the Sliding Centre in Cortina d’Ampezzo, involving Società Infrastrutture Milano Cortina 2020–2026 Spa, the representatives from the International Olympic Committee, the IBSF, the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation, the FIL, the International Luge Federation, and the Organising Commitee of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
At the end of the visit, all of the participants acknowledged to the commissario di governo Fabio Saldini the progresses made by SIMICO. Meanwhile, the schedule remains tight and challenging in order to be ready for the start of ice making at the beginning of March and the pre-homologation of the track at the end of March. The parties decided to continue a close and collaborative monitoring of progress, share information and meet again mid February.
