The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the Playing XI for the second and final Test against the West Indies, set to begin on January 25 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The Green Shirts have made one change to their lineup, bringing in pacer Ali for his Test debut in place of Khurram Shahzad.
Ali, a right-arm pacer, has impressed with consistent performances in first-class cricket, including a standout five-wicket haul for Pakistan Shaheens against Sri Lanka in November 2024, earning him a spot in the national squad.
Ali will serve as the sole pacer in Pakistan’s attack, with the rest of the bowling lineup remaining spin-heavy, featuring Sajid Khan, Noman Ali, and Abrar Ahmed.
This marks the only change from the lineup that claimed a dominant 127-run victory over the West Indies in the first Test at the same venue as they lead the two match series 1-0.
The batting lineup remains largely unchanged, with young opener Muhammad Huraira set to partner captain Shan Masood at the top of the order, followed by star batter Babar Azam.
The middle-order will consist of Kamran Ghulam, vice-captain Saud Shakeel, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, and all-rounder Salman Ali Agha.
