Portland Trail Blazers’ Deni Avdija Questionable to Play vs. Mavericks
Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija is questionable to play against the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night due to low back soreness, the organization announced on social media.
INJURY UPDATE: Deni Avdija (Low Back Soreness) is QUESTIONABLE for tonight’s game vs. DAL.
Avdija is a late addition to the injury report. The Blazers initially released the report Friday evening for Saturday’s game, and Avdija wasn’t on the list.
Avdija joins teammates Toumani Camara, Robert Williams III and Dalano Banton on the questionable list for Saturday’s matchup against the Mavericks. Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups will also miss his second consecutive game, as he mourns the death of his grandmother. Blazers assistant coach Nate Bjorkgren will once again assume head coaching duties.

The Mavericks will be without superstar Luka Doncic, center Dereck Lively II and guard Dante Exum. Dallas forwards P.J. Washington and Naji Marshall have also been suspended for the game for their roles in an on-court altercation Friday.
The Blazers tip off against the Mavs Saturday at 7 p.m. Pacific.
