Postal service updates delivery schedule


BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The U.S. Postal Service confirmed delivery service will be temporarily suspended in the Baton Rouge area on Wednesday, Jan. 22, due to current conditions.

According to officials, the postal service continuously evaluates its operations, and they expect normal mail delivery to resume on Thursday, Jan. 23, depending on various factors, such as if temperatures rise above freezing and road conditions improve.

Attention customers,

We wanted to inform you of some updates to our delivery schedule at the postal service. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be a slight change in the delivery times for certain areas.

Starting next week, deliveries will be made between 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this time.
