AEP Ohio’s outage map shows that the estimated restoration time is around 10 p.m. though a spokesperson for the power company said they do not have an official restoration time at this time. As of 6:30 p.m., there were 16,170 customers affected by the outage.
The spokesperson told 10TV that multiple crews were heading that way now, but the cause of the outage is still unknown.
According to a dispatcher for the city’s public safety department, there are reports of traffic lights being out in the area.
